I might suggest an app called Fogger, that I recently discovered (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/... ). It's basically webapp windows with a handful of integrated features - and they don't do any kinds of weird things in the launcher.

Re: Web App Windows (And Making Them Play Nice With The Launcher)

This doesn't work for me anymore! I did a bunch of digging last night, and I managed to find a copy of the latest version. I have older backups, but I dropped the project for some time because I really wasn't up to a week or two of duplicated efforts. That being said, it's been long enough that I feel up to working on it some more.

I made the widgets, though calling them "widgets" is very generous. They're quite simple, and as of yet have to be set up manually (toguh everything else does at this point). My next goals will be making widgets more modular and simple to make, and creating some sort of GUI for making/removing/moving panes.

Re: WebDesk

Nice work,

I assume you know that you can look at JoliCloud OS for inspiration on how to use the nickel-browser.

Do you create all widget things yourself?
